About the position
The Director of Attorney Service Delivery at LegalZoom is responsible for leading a team of attorneys to ensure the delivery of high-quality legal services. This role involves managing attorney operations, optimizing workflows, and maintaining compliance with legal standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, legal acumen, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a remote-first work environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of in-house, co-counsel, and network attorneys.
- Manage day-to-day operations of attorney service delivery, including client escalations and providing legal advice.
- Establish and maintain attorney service delivery standards aligned with business goals.
- Analyze data and metrics to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to inform process optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Drive initiatives to enhance the external reputation of the law firm.
- Facilitate training and continuing education opportunities for attorneys.
- Stay updated on legal and regulatory news and share insights with the team.
Requirements
- Current license to practice law in a U.S. state.
- JD or equivalent with 10+ years of relevant legal experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role.
- Legal practice experience in Intellectual Property, especially Patents and Trademarks.
- Experience leading high-volume teams.
- Deep understanding of legal compliance and ethics.
- Ability to set goals and drive business outcomes.
