The Director of Local Content Marketing and Social Strategy at Audacy is a pivotal role responsible for leading the development of content marketing and social media strategies for key Audacy station brands and talent. This position requires a strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with remote staff. The Director will have a deep understanding of social platforms and trends, and a proven ability to drive engagement, listening, and brand awareness through innovative content marketing and social media initiatives. In this role, the Director will develop a close understanding of key Music, Sports, and News stations, their programming, and talent, focusing on their brand voice, unique value proposition, and competitive position in the local market. The Director will provide strategic and hands-on partnership to station and show teams, ideating and developing innovative social marketing strategies that drive listeners to engage with content across various platforms, including the Audacy app and digital touchpoints. Regular meetings with station leadership and social leads at top brands will be essential to discuss content priorities and opportunities associated with social trends, exclusive interviews, tentpole events, and breaking news. The Director will also partner with talent on social best practices, develop influencer-driven approaches to revenue partnerships, and serve as the central point of contact for content marketing and social strategy collaboration. This role will require working with cross-functional teams to ensure that station social initiatives are strategically integrated across relevant channels. Additionally, the Director will establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of content marketing and social initiatives, using data to adjust strategies and maximize engagement and ROI. Monthly reporting to leadership will showcase areas of growth and opportunities for improvement.
