About the position

Honeywell is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Logistics to lead our logistics operations at our Charlotte headquarters. The Director of Logistics will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of logistics, including operational efficiency, international trade, analytics, project management, and financial accountability. While experience in logistics sourcing is considered a plus, the ideal candidate will have a demonstrated record of successfully navigating complex projects and driving them across the finish line while effectively managing logistics spend and productivity. In this role, you will develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics operations and improve efficiency. You will oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Additionally, you will manage international logistics activities, including import/export compliance, customs clearance, and freight forwarding. Utilizing data analytics, you will identify areas for improvement and drive informed decision-making. As a leader, you will lead cross-functional teams to execute complex logistics projects from inception to completion. You will be accountable for logistics spend and productivity, working to optimize costs while maintaining high-quality service levels. Building and developing a high-performing logistics team will be essential, as you provide coaching and mentorship to support professional growth and development. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics operations and improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, with a focus on operational management, international trade, and project management.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and technology, including ERP systems and data analytics tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex logistics projects and delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
  • Knowledge of worldwide logistics operations and best practices.
  • Experience in logistics sourcing is a plus.
