About the position

The Director of Mainframe Batch Operations is responsible for coordinating and delegating tasks among IT teams, overseeing daily operations, and managing ongoing projects. This role involves client onboarding, system maintenance, and procedural documentation, while also focusing on team development and communication with clients and other departments. The Director will conduct performance reviews, set goals, and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and delegate responsibilities among assigned IT teams.
• Oversee day-to-day functions and project management.
• Onboard clients and manage installation and maintenance processes.
• Conduct training sessions for team members.
• Perform bi-yearly reviews and set quarterly and yearly goals.
• Enhance communication and collaboration with clients and teams.
• Administer and update project management documents weekly.
• Manage the team's ticket queue and follow up on aging tickets.
• Provide risk assessment and risk management.
• Review assignments for accuracy and quality.
• Facilitate large projects and client/team meetings.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve goals.
• Participate in audits and onboarding of new clients.
• Optimize batch processing efficiencies and enhance system reliability.

Requirements

• 10-15 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge in batch management and mainframe console monitoring.
• Familiarity with system IPL processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
