About the position

The Director of Manufacturing & Field Operations for Global Lottery plays a crucial role in coordinating inbound and outbound logistical operations, which encompass inventory management, warehousing, and transportation. This position is essential to ensure a sufficient supply of goods and products, controlling the commercial impact of activities from receiving, locating, dispatching, production, planning, and optimizing inventory levels. The Director will administer an effective production planning system that meets the organization's inventory control needs by efficiently transporting raw materials, parts, and finished goods. In this role, the Director will ensure that all products are manufactured to relevant specifications and test procedures, while also managing inventory and maintaining inventory accuracy. The implementation and maintenance of a robust Quality Management System will be a key responsibility, ensuring adherence to all country rules and regulations regarding the shipment and disposition of lottery equipment throughout the region. Collaboration with the Supply Chain finance team will be necessary to define working forecasts and budgets that align with company objectives. The Director will also be tasked with developing and implementing continuous improvements in warehousing, manufacturing, distribution, and reverse logistics strategies. This includes creating, developing, and monitoring operational KPI metrics, providing updates and recommendations that enhance overall customer satisfaction and profitability. Leading preventative maintenance of production and warehouse equipment and tools is also a critical aspect of this role. Furthermore, the Director will manage, control, and supply Global Lottery Field Services and Lottery sales customers with spare parts to support contracted services and meet company objectives. Providing all Supply Chain groups with necessary business analytics and reporting will be essential. The Director will be responsible for implementing the strategic vision for the lottery manufacturing operations functions and integrating these initiatives cross-functionally across the organization. Building relationships with all internal departments and leaders will be vital to achieving business results. Finally, effective management, supervision, and mentoring of the department/team will ensure effective performance and personal development, alongside the implementation of corporate employee performance management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all products are manufactured to relevant specifications and test procedures
