About the position

The Director of Marketing and Communications for the Americas at LSG Sky Chefs is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and executing innovative marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and engage target audiences. This position involves leading a dynamic team to create compelling narratives and campaigns, ensuring effective communication across all channels while aligning with the organization's goals. The role emphasizes cross-departmental collaboration and positions the company as an industry leader in airline catering and hospitality.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing and communications plans aligned with the organization's overall goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing and communications channels.
  • Ensure clear, consistent and effective communication to strengthen stakeholder relationships.
  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across various channels including digital, print, social media, events and more.
  • Develop a content strategy that supports marketing and communication objectives, including the creation of engaging and compelling content for different platforms and audiences.
  • Oversee digital marketing efforts, including website management, social media marketing, and search engine optimization.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the industry.
  • Manage media relations and public relations activities to enhance the organization's reputation and manage its public image.
  • Develop and manage the marketing and communications budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business communications or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Ten or more years of applicable experience working in a corporate marketing and communications department in a mid to large size company.
  • Experience in global or multi-national marketing and communications preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English, additional Spanish skills preferable.
  • Creative mindset and demonstrated strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Familiar with digital trends and the current social media landscape.
  • Familiar with content management systems.
  • Must be self-starter and able to use independent judgment.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects especially in times of crisis.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships with outside vendors and associations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in global or multi-national marketing and communications preferred.
  • Additional Spanish language skills preferable.
