About the position

The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and communication strategies that align with business objectives, enhance brand awareness, and drive growth. This role involves overseeing market research, managing the marketing budget, ensuring consistent brand messaging, and generating digital presence strategies across multiple brands. Additionally, the director will handle internal and external communications, including content creation and media relations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate, develop, implement, execute and manage marketing and communication strategies that support business objectives and drive brand awareness and growth.
  • Lead market research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer insights.
  • Oversee marketing budget allocation and ROI tracking for campaigns and initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across all marketing channels and communications.
  • Evaluate opportunities to create and expand brand presence on local, regional and national levels.
  • Generate digital presence strategies across multiple brands.
  • Create and execute a regular internal communication publication calendar using various distribution methods.
  • Create and execute a regular external communication publication calendar to promote the corporate brand, reputation, and goals.
  • Drive content creation efforts across websites, blogs, newsletters, and social media platforms.
  • Manage media relations, including press releases, interviews, and partnerships.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 6-9 years' minimum experience in healthcare public relations and/or comprehensive marketing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with DTC and social media digital campaigns, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to thrive in a rapid pace environment.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Superior ability to write in a journalistic style for corporate and external publications.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
