About the position

Pride Institute is seeking a Director of Marketing/Business Development to lead the marketing and business development efforts of our organization. This role is crucial in overseeing the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Marketing Department. The Director will be responsible for achieving the desired utilization of the organization's continuum of care through effective marketing strategies and principles. As a key member of the facility management team, the Director will engage in strategic planning, sales and marketing management, and the identification of potential growth opportunities. This includes future projects, changes in programming and protocols, as well as recruitment and retention strategies. The Director of Marketing/Business Development will play a vital role in ensuring that Pride Institute continues to provide client-centered care, particularly for the LGBTQIA+ community. The position requires a deep understanding of the behavioral healthcare landscape, particularly in marketing and sales within this sector. The Director will also be responsible for fostering relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers and community organizations, to enhance referral development and workshop planning. In addition to these responsibilities, the Director will be expected to stay informed about relevant Minnesota statutes and regulatory requirements, ensuring that all marketing and business development activities comply with state and federal laws. This role is not only about driving business growth but also about advocating for the needs of our clients and ensuring that our services are accessible to those who need them most.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service activities within the Marketing Department.
  • Achieve desired utilization of the organization's continuum of care through effective marketing strategies.
  • Engage in strategic planning and sales management as part of the facility management team.
  • Identify potential growth opportunities and future projects.
  • Implement changes in programming and protocols as needed.
  • Develop recruitment and retention strategies for staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field required.
  • Master's degree in Business Administration or related field highly preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in organizational communications, referral development, workshop planning, sales management, and physician relationships preferred.
  • Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Thorough knowledge of Minnesota Statutes Chapters 245G, 260E, 245A, 626.557, and 626.5572.
  • Knowledge of CARF, state, and federal regulatory requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in behavioral healthcare marketing and sales is a plus.
  • Familiarity with LGBTQIA+ community issues and advocacy.
