About the position

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Marketing Campaign Operations to lead and enhance our email marketing efforts. This role is crucial in developing and executing our email marketing strategy, managing day-to-day operations, and delivering high-impact campaigns. Additionally, the Director will focus on improving operational efficiency and effectiveness within Marketing, emphasizing change management, scalability, best practices, and continuous improvement. Building and maintaining strong relationships with the Marketing leadership team will be essential for this role. The Director will develop and implement an email marketing strategy that aligns with GSK's business goals and digital experience objectives. This includes creating personalized, compliant, and impactful email campaigns that drive engagement with healthcare professionals and patients. The role will also lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within the Marketing department, emphasizing change management, scalability, and continuous improvement to streamline processes and maximize the impact of email marketing activities. Establishing and promoting best practices for email marketing will be a key responsibility, utilizing data-driven insights and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and ensure the effectiveness of email campaigns. The Director will collaborate with teams across various marketing channels to ensure a seamless and consistent experience, integrating email marketing strategies with other channels to enhance the overall customer journey and brand presence. In overseeing the end-to-end execution of email campaigns, the Director will ensure compliance with industry regulations and deliver campaigns efficiently. Leading and mentoring a team of email marketing professionals will be essential, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to foster a high-performing and engaged team. The Director will partner with the insights team to analyze email performance metrics and use these insights to optimize campaigns and inform broader digital experience strategies. Additionally, managing and leveraging email marketing platforms and tools will be crucial to enhance functionality and improve campaign effectiveness, ensuring integration with other marketing systems for a comprehensive view of customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an email marketing strategy that aligns with GSK's business goals and digital experience objectives.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness within the Marketing department.
  • Establish and promote best practices for email marketing using data-driven insights and industry trends.
  • Collaborate with teams across various marketing channels to ensure a seamless and consistent experience.
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of email campaigns, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of email marketing professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Partner with the insights team to analyze email performance metrics and optimize campaigns.
  • Manage and leverage email marketing platforms and tools to enhance functionality and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Marketing leadership team and other key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in email marketing, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing complex email campaigns within a regulated industry, such as pharmaceuticals or healthcare.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms and tools, including segmentation, A/B testing, and automation.
  • Experience integrating email marketing with other digital channels.
