About the position

We are looking for a Director of Marketing Communications (MarComm) to join our team and develop omni-channel strategies that exceed marketing goals while creating exceptional experiences for our team members and clients. In this role, you will partner with creative, communications, and business development teams to orchestrate end-to-end marketing strategies for key initiatives and campaign launches. Acting as a conduit between the brand, the creative team, digital marketing, and communications, you will ensure flawless execution of corporate messaging both internally and externally. You will lead the ideation, visualization, development, and execution of annual marketing campaigns, guiding content development, messaging, and strategy. Additionally, you will be responsible for leading crisis communications in partnership with internal legal, risk management, and safety experts. You will collaborate with executive leadership from both operations and corporate departments on change management, communication, and brand development. You will oversee a team and manage direct reports - leadership skills are critical to success for this role. You will deliver on corporate initiatives and department goals, and lead the team to successfully execute the marketing plan. Responsibilities

  • Translate marketing objectives into clear brand strategies.
  • Lead the ideation, visualization, development, and execution of annual marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with marketing team members to guide content development, messaging, and strategy for the campaign.
  • Ensure the content of the corporate website, social media channels, and other collateral align and support the marketing strategy.
  • Contribute to the advertising strategy to ensure alignment and consistency of messaging throughout the organization and external outlets.
  • Work closely with the creative and event teams to create brand experiences for employee engagement events, client events, and recruiting activities.
  • Lead the development and evolution of the visual brand strategy.
  • Develop strategic marketing content from technical experts and seek channels to communicate externally.
  • Curate and develop content and messaging for multi-channel internal communications.
  • Develop process and guidelines for communicating change to employees.
  • Provide focused efforts to further garner employee engagement from regional offices via regular and tailored employee communications.
  • Develop tools and tactics to help leaders better communicate within their sectors/regions/teams.
  • Manage the crisis communications process and execution.
  • Partner with the safety team to develop and implement a strategy for creating effective safety communications.
  • Develop relationships with key internal partners and attend key meetings.
  • Develop methods and tools to capture, manage, and share key messages amongst executive and senior leadership.
  • Recruit, retain, and develop MarComm talent.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, PR, or English is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in increasing roles of responsibility in a combination of marketing, branding, communications, or PR is required.
  • Experience in B2B or professional services is required; experience in the AEC field or agency setting is a plus.
  • Experience directing dynamic teams in a corporate environment is required.
  • Experience directing a team of creatives, especially graphic designers, web developers, and multimedia experts is highly desired.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, SharePoint, CRM systems (especially Microsoft Dynamics), email automation, social media, and content management systems is required.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing process, creating efficiencies, and identifying KPIs to prove ROI is required.
  • Budget development/management experience is desirable.
  • Proven experience developing and executing MarComm strategies and campaigns is required.
  • Experience managing crisis communications and media relations is required.
  • Excellent writing, communication, and public speaking skills are required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects with changing priorities.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex projects across a variety of functions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the AEC field or agency setting is a plus.
  • Budget development/management experience is desirable.
