About the position

The Director of Marketing and Communications at Electric Power Engineers (EPE) is a pivotal role responsible for leading strategic marketing efforts to support the company's business goals in the energy sector. This position involves developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, enhancing brand awareness, and generating leads to drive revenue growth. The Director will collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to promote EPE's consultative services and software products, ensuring alignment with the company's vision of shaping the future of energy through advanced energy intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, evaluate, and implement an overall marketing strategy for EPE's business unit.
  • Formulate, direct, and coordinate marketing activities to execute strategies for different customer segments.
  • Propose innovative ideas to help EPE meet growth objectives for customers, sales, and brand awareness.
  • Advance EPE's brand and market position through consistent branding and messaging.
  • Establish and implement marketing plans to increase EPE's digital and social media presence.
  • Manage and maintain EPE's brand identity and voice through webpage design and content.
  • Lead market research efforts to assist in developing sales strategies for different markets.
  • Create and analyze metrics to measure program effectiveness and report to stakeholders.
  • Oversee the business unit aspect of EPE's Marketing KPI dashboard.
  • Drive the Marketing Analytics and Insights program, including CRM integration and analyzing marketing data.
  • Generate leads through effective marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Manage brand positioning and messaging across all channels, including marketing materials.
  • Lead product marketing initiatives and develop sales enablement materials.
  • Engage agency vendors for communications, design, and tactical support.
  • Coordinate creative design and campaign deliverables with internal and external resources.
  • Collaborate with business unit leaders to define EPE products and services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Seven (7) or more years of experience in marketing.
  • Experience in the electric utility or renewable energy industry is a plus.
  • Experience working for an engineering consulting or similar B2B services organization.
  • Strong understanding of branding fundamentals and thought leadership positioning.
  • At least three (3) years' experience managing direct reports and external vendors.
  • Demonstrated experience in web content maintenance and creating marketing materials.
  • Strong digital marketing experience, including paid and organic social media marketing.
  • Advanced user in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and Canva.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop).
  • Experience with project management apps.
