About the position

The Director of Marketing - Digital Experience at Wolters Kluwer will lead digital marketing initiatives across various customer segments, focusing on pipeline creation, revenue retention, and enhancing brand reputation. This role involves managing digital campaign activations, search engine marketing, paid social programs, web marketing, SEO, and database marketing, while overseeing a team of professionals and vendors to improve the digital experience throughout the buyer's journey.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to identify solution buyers, improve brand reputation, produce leads, and support customer retention.
  • Lead and manage digital campaign activation, ensuring campaigns meet market commitments and are optimized for peak performance.
  • Manage CE's website program, optimizing for inbound lead generation and user experience, while continuously improving SEO rankings.
  • Manage SEM and paid social media strategies to achieve efficient market coverage and lead volume targets.
  • Oversee and increase the lead flow process from inbound/upload to nurture, ensuring all digital leads have a nurture path to conversion.
  • Manage database marketing program, focusing on accuracy and compliance with data protection regulations, and build segmentation strategies to improve campaign response.
  • Implement lifecycle marketing program to nurture buyers and users.
  • Oversee the marketing technology program, ensuring efficient system integrations and monitoring investments for adoption and ROI.
  • Manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure vendor commitments are met.
  • Manage the budget for marketing technology investments, ensuring alignment with priorities and ROI.
  • Manage a team of digital marketing professionals, providing guidance and performance management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align digital marketing strategies with overall business goals.
  • Stay current with the latest digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
  • 10+ years of experience in digital marketing with a background in managing digital campaigns, marketing technology, and database marketing.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or management role overseeing a team of digital marketing professionals.
  • Experience managing and delivering on digital marketing campaigns including SEM, web marketing, SEO, and database marketing.
  • Experience with digital marketing technologies, including Marketo.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate with cross-functional teams and senior-level individuals.
  • Ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement them.
