About the position

The Director of Marketing for Epkinly at AbbVie is responsible for leading the marketing strategy and initiatives for Follicular Lymphoma. This role involves strategic planning, development of marketing pillars, and execution of go-to-market strategies for both current and future indications. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to achieve financial objectives and drive business results, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced marketer in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Head of Marketing and DLBCL Director to identify key focus areas and deliverables for EPKINLY pre-and post-launch indications.
  • Develop and manage marketing strategy for a launch brand in the US oncology organization including brand and HCP strategy.
  • Assist in the development of strategies and lead implementation of tactics to maximize sales, market share, and profitability for new indications.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop a team of Marketing Managers to create a high-performance brand team.
  • Execute multiple marketing projects in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with medical affairs, market access, market research, sales, and HEOR to ensure a unified vision for the brand.
  • Engage in the development of ongoing strategy including gap analysis and strategic brand plan for DLBCL indications.
  • Analyze trends in the oncology marketplace using patient and data-driven insights to inform the marketing plan.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop product positioning and branding.
  • Support the development of the strategic business plan and tactical plan representation of all stakeholders.
  • Manage strategy and project development of tactics that drive consideration of AbbVie oncology products.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of strategies and tactics through measurement and metrics development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech setting; 10+ years preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking, collaboration, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functionally and lead without authority.
  • Positive attitude with strong written and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent planning and organization skills to support brand objectives.
  • Experience in joint venture commercial partnerships.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA and/or scientific background and/or global experience.
  • Advanced degree preferred (e.g., PhD, MBA).
  • Ability to collaborate, motivate, and influence various levels within and outside the organization.
  • Willingness to challenge team members and manage conflict effectively.
