About the position

The Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is a pivotal role responsible for managing the institution's athletic marketing programs. This position involves collaborating with institutional staff to organize and promote annual signature events such as Homecoming & Reunion and Family Weekend. The Director will oversee both print and digital marketing campaigns aimed at supporting revenue generation and enhancing publicity for all 23 RPI Athletics teams. Additionally, the Director will manage game-day event operations for all home football and hockey contests, ensuring a seamless and engaging experience for fans and participants alike. In this role, the Director will be expected to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies that resonate with the community and enhance fan engagement. This includes leveraging various media channels to promote athletic events and initiatives, as well as analyzing the effectiveness of marketing efforts through data interpretation. The Director will also be responsible for fostering positive relationships with stakeholders, including students, alumni, and the broader community, to build a strong support network for RPI Athletics. The position requires a commitment to working irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, to ensure the success of athletic events and marketing campaigns. The Director will play a crucial role in shaping the public perception of RPI Athletics and driving attendance and participation in athletic events.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the institution's athletic marketing programs.

Requirements
