As a Director, Marketing Fundamentals Training, you will report to the Senior Director of Marketing Excellence Training and will be responsible for leading all aspects of training for marketing fundamentals that link to marketing competencies. This will include designing and delivering global marketing training content and conducting training for all affiliates, including the US. The candidate will be accountable for training content creation, conducting global training needs assessments, training design, training development, training delivery, and training evaluation. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, experienced individual with a strong track record of marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry. They must have the proven ability to manage complex projects effectively, influence stakeholders without authority, effectively network across the organization, and communicate with senior leaders, all within a fast-moving, challenging, and dynamic Commercial environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of training for marketing fundamentals that link to marketing competencies.
  • Design and deliver global marketing training content for all affiliates, including the US.
  • Conduct global training needs assessments and evaluate training effectiveness.
  • Develop and enhance fundamental marketing training that is fit-for-future.
  • Review existing training programs to determine viability for reuse or adaptation at a global level.
  • Collaborate with global stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes and required behaviors, skills, and knowledge.
  • Determine content changes required for existing training curricula or work with external vendors to design new global content.
  • Incorporate motivating, creative, and interactive training techniques to enhance the training experience.
  • Lead regional/local training activities for new/early-stage career marketers.
  • Build relationships and engage with senior executives and functional stakeholders.
  • Ensure strategic plans, goals, and objectives are documented, communicated, reviewed, and evaluated continuously.
  • Proactively engage with commercial groups to resolve issues, conflicts, and interdependencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and Twelve Years' Experience OR Master's Degree and Ten Years' Experience OR PhD and Eight Years' Experience.
  • Advanced experience in curriculum development, project management, and facilitation expertise.
  • Deep understanding of adult learning principles.
  • Excellent influencing skills and ability to manage without direct power.
  • Strong leadership, self-direction, and experience tackling ambiguous and complex problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, interact, negotiate, and drive consensus among diverse individuals.
  • Strong executive presence with sound business judgment and clear decision-making.
  • Proven ability to lead collaborative and creative problem-solving.
