About the position

The Director of Marketing Innovation at Clorox will lead the development of superior consumer experiences and innovative initiatives that enhance the brand's market position. This role focuses on identifying insights and commercializing scalable innovations to address unmet consumer needs, including launching new sub-brands and business models. The Director will collaborate with various business units to ensure a robust innovation pipeline and foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business units to drive the development of innovative consumer experiences.
  • Build and maintain a robust innovation pipeline across the Care & Connect Business Units.
  • Report on the sufficiency status of the innovation pipeline, including operations and risks.
  • Elevate consumer connectivity and insights across the portfolio.
  • Foster a culture of creativity and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Build relationships with external partners, vendors, and thought leaders.
  • Provide innovation guidance to business unit general managers and leadership teams.
  • Coach and develop R&D leaders in the Care & Connect group.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of marketing or innovation experience, or a track record of startup success.
  • Minimum of 5 years in consumer packaged goods (CPG).
  • Proven ability to lead teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent consumer and trend orientation.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management capabilities.
  • Adept at leveraging insights and market research to drive innovation.
  • Creative with the ability to generate original ideas that meet consumer needs.
  • Experience in innovation and creativity, product development, and scaling.
  • Experience across product, process, and packaging innovation.
  • Track record of driving disruptive innovations such as establishing new categories and launching new sub-brands.
  • Digitally savvy and proficient in design thinking and agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
