The Director of Marketing Strategy & Fan Experience at the University of Maryland will play a pivotal role in enhancing the marketing efforts and overall fan engagement for the athletic department. Reporting directly to the Associate Athletic Director of Marketing Strategy & Fan Experience, this position is responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive marketing plans tailored specifically for Men's Basketball and Field Hockey. The director will oversee sponsor activation and game presentation, ensuring that all marketing initiatives align with the department's goals and enhance the overall experience for both student-athletes and fans. In addition to the core responsibilities, the director will supervise the Assistant Director of Marketing Strategy & Fan Experience, providing guidance and support in executing marketing strategies. Collaboration with the Broadcasting & Production unit is essential, as the director will work closely to create innovative in-game video elements that engage fans and elevate the game-day experience. The role also involves planning, promoting, and executing Maryland Basketball preseason events, which are crucial for building excitement and engagement within the community. The director will serve as the Athletic Department's liaison to The Pride student group, fostering a strong connection between the athletics program and the student body. Furthermore, the director will represent Maryland Athletics on the University's Maryland Day planning committee, assisting various campus constituents in organizing and executing numerous student and community-focused events. Oversight of student workers responsible for marketing Track & Field and Tennis will also be part of the role, along with other duties as assigned, ensuring a comprehensive approach to marketing across all sports.
