About the position

The Director of Marketing Strategy for MBA and Graduate Admissions at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business is responsible for leading the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies for various graduate programs. This role involves overseeing marketing initiatives, collaborating with internal teams and external agencies, and utilizing data-driven insights to enhance enrollment growth and brand positioning in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-program marketing initiatives for MBA and Graduate & Executive Degree programs.
  • Oversee the digital marketing agency in developing traditional and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Manage the McDonough MarTech user group and marketing technology products related to Admissions.
  • Develop email marketing campaign strategies and sophisticated analytics for lead scoring models.
  • Conduct focus groups and peer analysis to inform strategic decisions for enrollment growth.
  • Consult with the Office of Marketing and Communications for branding guidance and coordination.
  • Support admissions teams by participating in meetings and reviewing candidate files.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of experience in marketing or higher education marketing, preferably in graduate business school admissions.
  • Proven track record of developing successful marketing strategies for diverse audience segments.
  • Experience with marketing automation, CRM, analytics, and project management.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Experience with competitive analysis and program demand assessment in higher education.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities with outstanding communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of current trends in graduate business education and digital marketing.
  • Substantial working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in marketing, communications, or business.
