Salesforce is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing Strategy & Planning to join its Global Field Marketing (GFM) organization. This role is pivotal in driving the strategic direction and planning processes for the GFM team, which is integral to the company's mission of inspiring the future of business through AI, data, and CRM. The Director will lead a high-impact team responsible for setting the foundations for annual, quarterly, and ongoing planning, measurement, forecasting, and goal setting. This position requires a collaborative and trusted business partner who can thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards and simplicity in the go-to-market strategy. The Director will be responsible for connecting with business and product planning to understand company goals and identify key initiatives and priorities for the marketing organization. They will articulate and document a comprehensive marketing strategy that encompasses a full-funnel, integrated marketing view. This includes translating business strategies into annual marketing plans and reconciling data-driven inputs into strategic insights derived from various data sources, including budgets, performance data, and market intelligence. Additionally, the Director will create clarity around the performance of marketing activities and their impact on targeted outcomes. They will orchestrate the design and implementation of the GFM planning and goal-setting processes, define key performance metrics, and build reports and dashboards to provide insights into business health. Strong cross-functional partnerships with budget owners, business owners, and analytics teams will be essential. The role also involves narrative writing, strategy slide creation, and executive summaries, as well as forecasting future outcomes based on historical data. As a people manager, the Director will lead and develop their team effectively.
