About the position

As the Director of Marketing Strategy & Planning at ActiveCampaign, you will collaborate closely with the CMO and the Marketing Leadership team to enhance cross-functional partnerships and performance. This role is pivotal in developing and implementing essential marketing planning processes, operating rhythms, and reporting cadences, ultimately driving accountability and success within the marketing department. You will be responsible for operationalizing the marketing strategy and annual plans, ensuring that the marketing teams are equipped to drive growth and performance effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Operationalize our marketing strategy and plan through effective and efficient operating rhythms.
  • Develop and continuously optimize our marketing rhythms and processes to ensure team success in driving growth and performance.
  • Build and drive consistent collaboration across marketing functions and with Finance, Product, and Strategy Teams.
  • Maintain oversight of the entire marketing investment in partnership with the CMO, Finance partners, and Marketing VPs.
  • Facilitate Marketing Leadership Team (MLT) meetings and working sessions to drive accountability, transparency, and performance.
  • Drive effective prioritization and focus throughout marketing and with key cross-functional partners.
  • Report on performance against quarterly and annual plans.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and partner to the CMO.

Requirements

  • 12+ years in Marketing and/or related experience, with 6+ years in people leadership.
  • SaaS experience is required.
  • Bias to action with the ability to operate with unknown factors.
  • Builder and operator mentality.
  • MarTech or adjacent industry experience preferred.
  • Expert communication skills across all mediums and levels of the organization.
  • Proven success in planning, developing, and executing quarterly and annual marketing plans.
  • Ability to drive a mentality of continuous optimization, growth, and performance throughout the team and cross-functionally.
  • Proven success in operationalizing market strategies.
  • Both agency side and client side experience is preferred.
