In this role, the Director of Marketing will be an integral part of the Marketing team, reporting directly to the SVP of Marketing + Analytics. This position involves close collaboration with various internal departments, artists, managers, and external partners to create, strategize, and enhance opportunities in the marketplace for a subset of the Warner Music Nashville roster. The Director will work within a dynamic and fast-paced team dedicated to driving awareness and engagement for our artists and their music. The primary focus of the Director, Marketing is to create and enhance marketing opportunities, develop artists' audiences, and identify innovative ways to connect artists with their fans. This includes the creation and execution of comprehensive marketing plans and new music releases for the assigned roster. The Director will be responsible for developing thoughtful, strategic, and creative marketing plans that generate awareness and momentum for WMN artists and their music. This role will also involve designing, directing, and implementing bespoke campaigns that aim to expose the roster of WMN artists to potential new fans, deepen artist/fan relationships, and nurture the core/super fans of the artists. In addition, the Director will set and manage quarterly marketing budgets for their roster of artists, oversee marketing and new release workflows through the label ecosystem, and ensure timely delivery of assets to facilitate successful execution of release timelines. Regular evaluation, measurement, and reporting on the effectiveness of marketing efforts will also be a key responsibility, ensuring that the artist's voice, vision, and creative throughline is consistent across all marketing touchpoints.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and complete thoughtful, strategic, creative marketing plans to generate awareness and momentum for WMN artists and their music.
  • Design, direct, and implement bespoke campaigns and timelines to expose WMN artists to potential new fans, deepen artist/fan relationships, and nurture core/super fans.
  • Set and manage quarterly marketing budgets for the roster of artists.
  • Manage marketing and new release workflows through the label ecosystem, including scheduling new music releases and ensuring timely delivery of assets.
  • Liaise between artists/managers and relevant WMN departments (A&R, creative, publicity, digital, streaming, radio, etc.).
  • Regularly evaluate, measure, and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Ensure that the artist's voice, vision, and creative throughline is consistent across all marketing touchpoints.
