About the position

The position involves managing and maintaining critical master and reference data within a commercial banking environment, ensuring adherence to data governance policies. The role focuses on improving the quality of data sets to align with the bank's risk appetite and business growth strategy, while supporting various business functions and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Enable Master Data Management (MDM) platform strategy in partnership with Master Data Management and Data Sourcing leader.
• Ensure master and reference data is managed in adherence to Data Governance policy.
• Implement and support data specific to master data domains such as customer, products, and loan reference data.
• Partner with enterprise architecture to source master/reference data for data enrichment purposes.
• Support Data Governance activities aligned to Data Governance policy and define Data Quality rules requirements.
• Partner with business functions to ensure that master and reference data is fit for use.

Requirements

• Min. Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Min. 10 years experience in IT or Data Management or Data Governance.
• Prior experience in master or reference data management, preferably in the financial industry.
• Understanding of master data management industry standards and practices.
• Data warehouse knowledge/experience.
• Strong analytic skill set with proficiency in data profiling and modeling.
• Highly proficient in data analysis using SQL querying skills.
• Expertise in program management and stakeholder management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Project Management Professional certification is a plus but not required.
• Data Management Certification is a plus but not required.
