About the position

The Director, MedTech CPA Strategy & CommTech at Johnson & Johnson is a senior communications leadership role responsible for developing and executing integrated communications strategies that support the MedTech business goals. This position focuses on enhancing brand reputation, driving business growth, and managing change through effective communication and operational excellence. The role requires a strong foundation in digital communications and a collaborative approach to influence and engage stakeholders across a highly matrixed global organization.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all matters related to communications strategy, CommTech tools, and change management within the MT CPA organization.
  • Develop an integrated, cross-audience global communications strategy and plan that supports MedTech business goals.
  • Implement an MTCPA transformation agenda and operating rhythm to keep the MT CPA team current, connected, and engaged.
  • Create a 'CommTech stack' to operationalize the communications strategy and measure progress over time.
  • Establish a research agenda to develop stakeholder knowledge and insights for informing communications strategy and planning.
  • Manage a comprehensive digital editorial calendar in Airtable.
  • Digitize playbooks and workflows for common activities such as event planning and media relations.
  • Provide regular reports, dashboards, and recommendations based on insights to highlight the achievements of the MT CPA team.
  • Manage the MTCPA budget and contracts with external vendors.
  • Lead communications and change management initiatives within the MT CPA team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or Graduate Studies preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Communications and/or Marketing.
  • 5+ years of people/team leadership experience, including managing external agency partners.
  • Deep understanding of building reputation, driving growth, and activating culture through strategic communications.
  • Ability to influence and manage change in a global organization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in operational excellence and digital communications technology.
  • Experience with Airtable, Microsoft Suite, and various social/digital communications channels.
  • Proven ability to use data and insights to inform communications strategy and planning.
  • Strong writing, presentation, communication, and project management skills.
