The Director of Media Buying is a senior-level position that reports directly to the CHS Marketing Vice President. This role is pivotal in developing, negotiating, and managing placement strategies for traditional media, including out-of-home (OOH), print, broadcast, and direct mail. The primary objective is to efficiently target select audiences on behalf of affiliated hospitals and networks. The Director will work closely with CHS Creative Services and Regional Marketing Directors to ensure that media strategies align with overall marketing goals. In this role, the Director will identify, evaluate, and recommend traditional advertising strategies in collaboration with Regional Marketing Directors and hospital marketing leaders. This includes assisting with the development of traditional media budgets and building positive relationships with media vendors to negotiate and execute cost-effective campaigns. The Director will oversee the day-to-day management of media campaigns, ensuring that all tasks, such as insertion orders, contract management, and invoice discrepancies, are handled efficiently. Additionally, the Director will utilize CHS's project management system to manage media placements and ensure accurate invoicing and timely vendor payments. As the media buying expert within CHS, the Director will communicate placement strategies to stakeholders, ensure proper ad tracking, and create performance reports while also training and managing the marketing team in media buying support.
