About the position

The Director of Network Architecture at Fox Corporation is responsible for the design, planning, implementation, and management of the organization's network infrastructure, focusing on Cisco and Arista technologies. This role ensures that the network is scalable, secure, and highly available to support business objectives. The Director will lead a team of network architects and collaborate with various departments to align network solutions with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive network architecture strategy emphasizing scalability, reliability, and security using Cisco and Arista technologies.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and management of the network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, data center networking, and cloud connectivity.
• Lead and mentor a team of network architects, ensuring continuous skills development and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain best practices for network security, including firewall management, VPN solutions, and network segmentation.
• Manage relationships with Arista, Cisco, and other network vendors, ensuring optimal service levels and evaluating new technologies.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues, optimizing network infrastructure to meet evolving business needs.
• Partner with the Critical Response team & PMO on projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of the network infrastructure and ensure compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
• Work closely with the VP of IT and other technology leaders to align network architecture with broader IT and business strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or relevant experience.
• Experience in network engineering, architecture, or related roles, with experience in a leadership capacity.
• Proven track record in designing and managing large-scale, complex networks in enterprise environments.
• Expert level knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS), network security principles, cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure), and SDN technologies.
• Extensive experience with Cisco and Arista network solutions, including routing, switching, and network automation.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware NSX).
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with network automation and programmability (e.g., Python, Ansible).
• Familiarity with Spin-leaf architecture.
