About the position

The Lunar I&T Director for the New Lunar Vehicle at Blue Origin is responsible for leading a team in the assembly, integration, and testing of lunar lander products. This role is crucial for ensuring the technical integrity of the flight articles and involves overseeing the entire production process, from initial assembly to launch vehicle integration. The Director will work closely with NASA and other partners to develop sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo to the lunar surface, contributing to Blue Origin's mission of enabling human presence in space.

Responsibilities

• Lead a diverse team of engineers and technicians in the assembly, integration, and testing of the New Lunar Vehicle.
• Ensure the flight article is built with technical integrity and meets verification requirements and standards.
• Oversee the assigned Production team, including supply, quality, tooling, manufacturing, and integration.
• Develop the Test Plan and resource the necessary infrastructure for assembly and testing.
• Execute test events through the extended test team at various test sites, including Blue, NASA, and commercial locations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in leading engineering teams in aerospace or related fields.
• Strong technical expertise in vehicle assembly, integration, and testing processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and oversee production teams effectively.
• Experience working with government agencies, particularly NASA, on aerospace projects.

• Experience with lunar or space vehicle development.
• Familiarity with ITAR regulations and compliance.
