About the position

The Director of North American OEM Account Sales at Howmet Aerospace is responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for Aerospace Fastener customers. This role involves mapping strategic plans for sales and margin, coordinating with internal teams and customers, and participating in the global commercial strategy development. The Director will lead a commercial team, support growth initiatives, and ensure high customer satisfaction while managing contract requirements and facilitating issue resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the commercial team in identifying, developing, and sustaining customer accounts in line with business strategy.
  • Support and execute the commercial strategy for HFS, coordinating with other commercial staff and resources.
  • Establish objectives to meet HFS growth strategy and target new business in existing and developing markets.
  • Work closely with the Procurement team on inventory investment initiatives linked to sales activity.
  • Liaise with global HFS locations to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate resolution of customer issues, including quality and delivery performance.
  • Review and manage contract requirements to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and deliver customer presentations as needed, coordinating commercial and technical details for marketing materials.
  • Coordinate changes in equipment, processes, materials, or services to support growth and process improvements.
  • Conduct people management responsibilities, including hiring, performance reviews, and team development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is required; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Aerospace fasteners sales.
  • Minimum 5 years of management level experience.
  • Proven interpersonal and leadership abilities to lead a team and interact effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Analytically oriented with effective problem-solving skills.
  • Innovative thinking and creativity.
  • Flexibility to work with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
