About The Position

The Director of Nursing and Hospital Operations is a senior-level leadership role responsible for overseeing nursing and operational excellence within the hospital. This position involves strategic planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care and ancillary services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and improving patient care outcomes. The director will lead initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and patient experience while managing financial performance and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
  • 5 years experience as a direct care RN.
  • 5 years experience in nursing management and/or administration.
  • History of increasing responsibility and complexity in management and operational roles.
  • Registered Nurse state licensure required.
  • Certification in nursing administration within 1 year of hire or promotion.

Responsibilities

  • Assure overall standard of nursing, ancillary, and support services for operational excellence.
  • Coordinate planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care and other services.
  • Provide leadership and management oversight to meet performance metrics including financial, quality, safety, and patient experience.
  • Advise the hospital administrator on operations, facilities, policies, and regulatory performance.
  • Implement and evaluate the organizational plan for the provision of care in collaboration with nursing and medical staff.
  • Assess, measure, and improve the quality of nursing care and diagnostic services.
  • Ensure adequate recruitment and retention of nursing staff in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Oversee regulatory compliance and accreditation, ensuring adherence to state and federal standards.
  • Develop and manage annual capital and operational budgets for areas of responsibility.
  • Monitor clinical, financial, and customer service performance of the hospital.
