AutoNation is the largest automotive retailer in America and is currently undergoing a significant digital transformation aimed at revolutionizing the industry. The Director of OE Parts Operations will play a crucial role in this transformation by working under the direction of the VP of Parts. This position is responsible for overseeing a team that includes Regional Parts Directors, Parts Distribution & Logistics Managers, Hub and Warehouse After-Sales Parts Managers, and Outside Sales Representatives. The primary focus will be on developing and implementing strategic plans to foster incremental growth of a cohesive and profitable Parts Network across all regions. The Director will liaise with all After-Sales stakeholders to ensure the highest level of service is provided for After-Sales parts. This includes providing guidance and a relentless drive to meet or exceed corporate parts budgets. The role requires establishing, executing, and improving strategic plans and programs that will expand the After-Sales Parts Network, ensuring long-term sustainable growth in alignment with regional and market partners, as well as After-Sales Corporate teams, including PrecisionParts and E-commerce parts activities. Training and educating Regional Parts Directors on AutoNation's multi-brand After-Sales parts offerings and the continuous development of their direct reports is a key responsibility. The Director will also assist in approving Outside Sales Representatives' individual monthly goals, territories, and new hires. Efficient utilization of After-Sales Parts Distribution and Logistics will be organized, including managing delivery contracts, vehicle purchases, warehousing, forward stocking locations, and suppliers in a cost-effective manner. Additionally, the Director will coordinate digital and mailing campaigns with the After-Sales Marketing team to capture customer data and highlight coordinated OE offerings to increase revenue and profitability. They will manage and provide guidance regarding digital advertising to the After-Sales Marketing team and oversee all AutoNation National parts contracts with vendors, including logistics and software partners. This role will have the authority to enforce and sign contracts pertaining to parts, including municipal, county, state, federal, and national contracts, upon review and approval by AutoNation Operations Counsel. The Director is expected to demonstrate behaviors consistent with the Company's Vision, Mission, and Values in all interactions with customers, co-workers, and suppliers, while adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
