About the position

As the Director of Accounts Receivable (AR) for our Long Term Care Facilities, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations across multiple locations in Texas. This remote position requires a proactive leader who is committed to ensuring the highest quality of care and service to our residents. You will be responsible for the overall management of the accounts receivable functions, which includes overseeing collections, managing billing processes, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Your leadership will guide a team of Business Office Managers, helping them to implement effective management practices and achieve financial goals. In this role, you will streamline AR and collections processes to ensure timely and accurate billing across all facilities. You will also be tasked with developing and implementing policies and procedures that comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Monitoring and analyzing monthly AR reports will be crucial for assessing performance and identifying areas for improvement. Collaboration with other department heads will be essential to ensure alignment with financial processes, and you will drive the resolution of complex billing issues to maintain strong relationships with payers and ensure customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will prepare financial forecasts and budgets, presenting detailed reports to senior management. Your expertise in the healthcare revenue cycle, particularly in long-term care billing and collections, will be invaluable as you lead your team to success.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and streamline AR and collections processes across multiple facilities to ensure timely and accurate billing.
  • Manage and provide leadership to a team of Business Office Managers, ensuring optimal performance, training, and development.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly AR reports to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure cross-departmental alignment with financial processes.
  • Drive the resolution of complex billing issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining relationships with payers.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and budgets, and present reports to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in AR management, preferably in the healthcare industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams in a multi-facility environment.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle, with specific knowledge in long-term care billing and collections.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.
