About the position

As the Director of Accounts Receivable (AR) for Long Term Care Facilities, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of our network of facilities across Texas. This remote position requires a proactive leader who can manage the accounts receivable functions effectively, ensuring that our billing processes are streamlined and compliant with state and federal regulations. You will be responsible for leading a team of Business Office Managers, guiding them in best practices for financial management and ensuring that our financial goals are met consistently. In this role, you will oversee the entire accounts receivable and collections processes, ensuring that billing is timely and accurate across all facilities. You will develop and implement policies and procedures that align with legal requirements, monitor monthly AR reports to assess performance, and drive improvements where necessary. Collaboration with other department heads will be essential to ensure that financial processes are aligned across the organization. Your leadership will be crucial in resolving complex billing issues, maintaining strong relationships with payers, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Additionally, you will prepare financial forecasts and budgets, presenting your findings and recommendations to senior management. This position not only requires a strong background in accounts receivable management but also a commitment to fostering a supportive and dynamic work environment for your team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and streamline AR and collections processes across multiple facilities to ensure timely and accurate billing.
  • Manage and provide leadership to a team of Business Office Managers, ensuring optimal performance, training, and development.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and analyze monthly AR reports to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to ensure cross-departmental alignment with financial processes.
  • Drive the resolution of complex billing issues, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining relationships with payers.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and budgets, and present reports to senior management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in AR management, preferably in the healthcare industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing and leading teams in a multi-facility environment.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle, with specific knowledge in long-term care billing and collections.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and MS Office, especially Excel.
