Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) is seeking a Director of Accounts Receivable (AR) to lead its Accounts Receivable operations and support the Senior Director of Accounting with various general accounting tasks, including bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance. This role is pivotal in ensuring that MCC's financial operations run smoothly, particularly in managing the processes through which the organization generates payments. The Director will supervise the Staff Accountant and work closely with the Finance team to understand budget and funding requirements from various funders. Collaboration with the Director of Accounts Payable is also expected, with opportunities for cross-training in that area. Founded over 40 years ago, MCC has made a significant impact on the lives of over 150,000 families in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Delaware, focusing on communities facing high rates of poverty, infant mortality, and health disparities. The organization is committed to improving the health and well-being of pregnant women and parenting families while enhancing school readiness for children aged 0-3. The successful candidate will possess substantial experience in Accounting Operations, particularly in Accounts Receivable, and will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices. Familiarity with online accounting software, preferably MIP, is essential, along with strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various stakeholders. The Director will oversee the implementation of Accounts Receivable policies and procedures, manage payment generation processes, and ensure compliance with contract requirements. This position will also involve maintaining schedules, generating reports, and following up with funders regarding payment statuses. Additionally, the Director will perform selected accounting operations tasks, assist in audits, and participate in relevant staff meetings to promote effective communication and goal execution.
