About the position

The Director of Accounts Receivable at Coronis Health is responsible for overseeing and managing all billing and follow-up functions within the Anesthesia Division. This role focuses on revenue management, driving strategies to maximize timely payments, and continuously improving AR/Billing systems and processes. The Director will play a key leadership role in managing the billing processes for patients and insurance, ensuring effective collections of accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and implements operational efficiencies across the AR Team, focusing on process improvement, standardization, and documentation of all systems and processes.
  • Drives strategies and maximizes reimbursement for all business lines within the Anesthesia Division.
  • Promotes a team-oriented environment that fosters effective collaboration.
  • Develops processes and procedures for efficient and successful flow of interdependent information between the AR Department, Operations Department, Coding Department, and Credentialing Department.
  • Monitors compliance with all third-party payer requirements, exception handling, and appeals/denials.
  • Monitors the write-off process and credit balance process timely to ensure all efforts are made to collect due balances.
  • Partners and integrates with the AR Department to prioritize and optimize AR/Unbilled management, account aging, and denials.
  • Develops and modifies written policies and procedures to ensure business functions of departments are performing accurately, efficiently, and ethically.
  • Identifies opportunities to leverage technology and systems to improve overall revenue cycle functions.
  • Builds relationships and fosters teamwork across the organization.
  • Creates a learning environment; develops staff and self through mentoring, continued education, and providing opportunities to learn new skills.
  • Respects diversity and practices inclusion; ensures compliance with federal and state regulations, fostering a culturally diverse environment.
  • Demonstrates cultural competence in interacting with team members and clients/patients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare, or other industry-related field preferred.
  • At least 7 years of industry-related experience, including 3 years in Accounts Receivable Management.
