About the position

The Director of Admissions at Cenikor is responsible for managing the admissions process, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and facilitating the intake of clients into the program. This role involves coordinating referrals, providing leadership and support to the admissions team, and ensuring a smooth transition for clients from initial contact to admission. The position emphasizes service to others, community engagement, and professional development within a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the admissions process, ensuring appropriate screening and interviewing.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and accurate completion of admissions documentation.
  • Coordinate referrals from agencies and evaluate referral materials.
  • Assess referral system problems and consult with the Facility Director to reduce barriers to treatment.
  • Manage 3rd party payor processes related to verification and authorization.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to admissions department staff.
  • Provide clinical support and handle crisis calls appropriately.
  • Meet regularly with managers and staff to ensure criteria are met at the access center.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions for potential clients from call to admission.
  • Review Access Center reports and develop solutions for call volume fluctuations.
  • Identify trends from Satisfaction Surveys to develop necessary policies.
  • Review admissions scheduling procedures to ensure timely access to treatment.
  • Oversee follow-up outcomes reporting through client contact and documentation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of client information in the Electronic Health Record.
  • Create a positive working environment for all team members.
  • Identify and communicate referral trends to Marketing and Outreach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Licensure Required: LPC, LMFT, LMSW or LCSW.
  • Two years of substance abuse treatment experience required.
  • One year of supervisory experience in a client-serving environment preferred.
  • One year of experience in an intensive treatment team setting preferred.
  • One year of experience in a call center, front office, or admissions environment preferred.
  • Skilled in customer service with excellent listening skills.
  • Clinical knowledge of disease processes and human behavior.
  • Ability to communicate calmly and effectively in stressful situations.
  • Excellent organization skills and high attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including MS Outlook.

  • Experience in a leadership development program.
