About the position

The Director of Advanced Practice Provider is a pivotal role within the Valley Health System, responsible for overseeing and enhancing the policies, procedures, and practices related to advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, and other advanced practice clinicians. This position is designed for a leader who is committed to advancing quality, safety, and patient experience within the healthcare setting. The Director will play a crucial role in developing standard work processes for onboarding and training of advanced practice providers (APPs), ensuring compliance with bylaws and medical staff affairs, and addressing regulatory compliance and compensation issues for employed APPs. In this full-time role, the Director will allocate approximately 60% of their time to clinical practice, allowing them to remain engaged with patient care, while dedicating the remaining 40% to administrative responsibilities. This dual focus ensures that the Director can effectively lead initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided by APPs while also managing the operational aspects of the role. The Director will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer of Valley Health's Medical Group, collaborating closely with medical staff and trustees to ensure the competence and compliance of independently practicing APPs.
