The JCC Mid-Westchester (JCCMW) is seeking a Director of Aquatics, who will design, lead and implement strategies to effectively engage and support a positive community experience in and out of the pool. The aquatics center at the JCCMW is essential to the history of the organization, and the current aquatic program offerings are exciting and diverse. The pool is open 7 days a week for 90+ hours, and is often the first and last space open for patrons each day. The Director of Aquatics will lead all facets of supervision and management for our recreational and competitive swim programs (Stingrays, a 115-person swim team). The director will oversee all aquatics staff, including program manager, coaches, instructors, and lifeguards. Their goal will be to grow the aquatics programs through building interest and recruitment efforts, marketing, innovative program ideas, and strong feedback. The Director of Aquatics will work closely with other program directors to ensure innovative and quality programming and a seamless experience for our community members, from infants through older adults. They will also work closely with the Senior Director of Member Engagement to support our members who utilize the pool for lap swim and classes. They will ensure aquatics programs provide best-in-class community experience, reputation, impact, and future growth opportunities.
