About the position

The Director of Athletic Facilities/Operations at Coastal Carolina University is responsible for overseeing the management and operations of athletic facilities, ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations, and serving as the primary contact for game operations during NCAA athletic events. This role involves planning, scheduling, and logistics for events and practices, supervising personnel, and maintaining the facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary game operations contact during all NCAA athletic events and day-to-day operations.
  • Plan and manage the scheduling and logistics of all events and practices held within athletic facilities, both internal and external.
  • Supervise personnel as assigned.
  • Oversee setup and teardown of all athletic events and setups, along with performing daily upkeep and maintenance of all athletic facilities.
  • Serve as department liaison to university facilities management pertaining to work orders and key distribution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum two (2) years of athletic event operations and athletic facilities work, which can include time spent as a graduate assistant and/or internship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's Degree.
  • More than two (2) years of game operations and facilities work.
  • FBS game operations experience.
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and/or Photoshop.
