About the position

The Director of Athletic Training is responsible for overseeing the athletic training program across the district, ensuring the health and safety of student-athletes. This role involves managing athletic trainers, developing training programs, and collaborating with coaches and medical professionals to provide comprehensive care for athletes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the athletic training program for the district.
• Manage and supervise athletic trainers and support staff.
• Develop and implement training programs for student-athletes.
• Collaborate with coaches and medical professionals to ensure athlete safety and health.
• Maintain compliance with state and national athletic training regulations.
• Provide education and resources for athletes regarding injury prevention and recovery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• Current certification from the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC).
• State licensure as an athletic trainer.
• Experience in athletic training, preferably in a school setting.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in Athletic Training or related field.
• Experience in a director or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of sports medicine and injury management.
