About the position

The Director of Brand Marketing & Digital Strategy at Car Toys Incorporated is responsible for setting the marketing strategy and guiding the creation of omni-channel plans that enhance brand health, increase customer acquisition and engagement, and drive sales. This role involves leveraging data to inform marketing plans, identifying opportunities based on market dynamics, and ensuring cohesive brand execution across all channels. The director will collaborate with internal stakeholders and agencies to create annual marketing plans and oversee the execution of messaging through various media channels.

Responsibilities

  • Set marketing strategy and guide the creation of omni-channel plans that drive brand health, customer acquisition, and engagement.
  • Leverage first and third-party data to deliver insights and ground marketing plans in facts.
  • Identify marketing opportunities based on strategy, media, competitive, and consumer behavior dynamics.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of target customers, retail, and marketing trends.
  • Develop and oversee a cohesive brand execution process across all marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and agencies to create annual marketing plans.
  • Direct and develop marketing initiatives that align with business objectives and the brand.
  • Ensure comprehensive execution of messaging through paid, owned, and earned media channels.
  • Support and lead the marketing team across creative, email, social, and paid media agencies.
  • Develop in-store messaging that supports the brand and reinforces seasonal and promotional campaigns.
  • Create, forecast, and manage media and operational budgets accurately.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly business reports for the executive leadership team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a comparable field required.
  • 10 years of strategic marketing experience, preferably in retail.
  • Strong strategy management and multi-channel marketing experience.
  • Experience with retail store marketing preferred.
  • Proven ability to create and deliver successful marketing strategies across stakeholder groups.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven leader in managing teams, with experience in agency oversight preferred.
  • Strong budget management skills.
  • Ability to be proactive in a fast-paced and growth-driven environment.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of a marketing tech stack to support customer journey optimization.
  • Expertise in full-funnel analytics oversight.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in agency oversight and direction preferred.
  • Strong marketing skills in campaign conceptualization and communication strategy development.
