About the position

The Director of Business Development and Marketing at Step Saver is responsible for driving sales and enhancing market visibility in the water treatment industry, particularly in the Utah, Las Vegas, and Southern California regions. This role involves developing and maintaining customer relationships, analyzing market trends, and creating effective marketing strategies to promote the company's products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Present, promote and sell products/services using solid arguments to existing and prospective customers
  • Perform cost-benefit and needs analysis of existing/potential customers to meet their needs
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Supply management with reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Review current marketing trends and advertisements to determine the effectiveness of different styles and strategies
  • Analyze sales numbers in comparison to the marketing budget in order to find the profit margin and which campaigns were most effective
  • Research competitors to stay current with similar products or services on the market
  • Create and maintain a successful brand and image that attracts customers to the product or service
  • Work with Media Company creating design, and placement traditional media ads on social media ads and email blasts

Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Familiarity with BRM and CRM practices along with ability to build productive business professional relationships
  • Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience needs
  • Relationship management skills and openness to feedback
  • BS/BA degree in Marketing and/or Sales are beneficial
  • Experience in water treatment industry a plus
