About the position

The Director of Business Development/Marketing is a pivotal role within our organization, responsible for leading the marketing and sales team to drive business growth and expand our market presence in the home care sector. This position requires a dynamic and experienced individual who can effectively manage a team of six marketers and salespeople, ensuring that they are motivated and aligned with the company's objectives. The Director will develop and implement strategies aimed at achieving sales targets and business growth objectives, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team. In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Director will focus on business development by identifying and pursuing new opportunities to expand our client base. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with referral sources such as healthcare providers, hospitals, and community organizations. The role also involves conducting market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth, ensuring that the company remains competitive in the Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) landscape. The Director will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans to promote our services effectively. This includes overseeing the creation of marketing materials, campaigns, and digital strategies, as well as monitoring and analyzing marketing performance metrics to optimize strategies and drive results. Collaboration with the executive team is essential to align business development efforts with overall company goals, and the Director will provide regular reports and updates on business development activities and performance to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of six marketers/salespeople.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and business growth objectives.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our client base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers, hospitals, and community organizations.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to promote our services.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials, campaigns, and digital strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to optimize strategies and drive results.
  • Develop strategies to effectively market and promote our services within the MLTC framework.
  • Work closely with the executive team to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities and performance.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) and its regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to drive results and meet targets.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales/marketing tools.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development.
  • At least 1 year of experience in MLTC.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to commute to Rockland County, NY.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
