About the position

The Director of Business Development at Arvato is a strategic role focused on generating and acquiring new business in the logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management sectors, particularly within the IT, Hi-Tech, and Consumer Electronics industries. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills and industry knowledge to support regional and global sales teams in expanding Arvato's market presence in Europe and the US.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business in target markets with a primary focus on value added logistics, warehousing, retail distribution, and end-to-end supply chain solutions.
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Marketing, Solution Design, and Logistics Engineering to create competitive concept proposals and develop new service offerings based on market and client needs.
  • Manage and maintain a structured analysis of target markets and clients, documenting insights in the CRM system.
  • For selected large target accounts, manage and maintain detailed global account plans and coordinate international sales activities across regions.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to Global and Regional teams on market and industry developments and competitors' activities.
  • Identify, analyze, and compare alternative opportunities for entering new markets and adopting new technologies, presenting feasibility plans to the VP of Business Development and Management.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in solution selling and new business development in the fashion, lifestyle, and cosmetics supply chain industry.
  • Bachelor's degree required, with specialized qualifications or experience in Supply Chain Management related disciplines preferred.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, warehousing, fulfillment, and order-to-cash supply chain management.
