About the position
The Director of Business Development at Arvato USA LLC is a strategic role focused on generating and acquiring new business within the IT, Hi-Tech, and Consumer Electronics industries. This position requires leveraging industry knowledge and communication skills to support regional and global sales teams, particularly in value-added logistics and supply chain solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management, with a focus on expanding Arvato's market presence in Europe and the US.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business in target markets with a focus on value-added logistics, warehousing, retail distribution, and end-to-end supply chain solutions.
- Work with Business Development, Marketing, Solution Design, and Logistics Engineering to create competitive concept proposals and develop new service offerings.
- Manage and maintain a structured analysis of target markets and clients, documenting insights in the CRM system.
- For selected large target accounts, manage and maintain detailed global account plans and coordinate international sales activities.
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to Global and Regional teams on market and industry developments.
- Identify, analyze, and compare alternative opportunities for entering new markets and adopting new technologies, presenting feasibility plans to the VP of Business Development.
Requirements
- 5 to 10 years of experience in solution selling and new business development in the fashion, lifestyle, and cosmetics supply chain industry.
- Bachelor's degree required, with specialized qualifications or experience in Supply Chain Management preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills and an active network with key decision makers.
