About the position

The Director of Business Operations is responsible for enhancing the organizational performance of the business through effective financial management, strategic planning, and operational oversight. This role requires a highly energetic and creative thinker with a strong background in practice operations, human resources, marketing, and regulatory compliance. The Director will lead various initiatives to optimize revenue, improve operational efficiencies, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while managing a team of over 15 employees.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate new Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records system.
  • Implement short-term and long-term strategies to support practice growth.
  • Create operational policies and procedures for revenue optimization.
  • Negotiate, supervise, manage, and execute contracts.
  • Manage human resource functions and regulatory compliance for over 15 employees.
  • Supervise billing, patient/clinical services, and business parameters to ensure outstanding patient care.
  • Ensure practice compliance with all regulatory agencies including HIPAA, OSHA, and Security Risk.
  • Effectively communicate with legal and accounting resources.
  • Oversee revenue cycle management, payer contracts, credentialing, and ICD 10.
  • Develop workflow metrics for compliance while achieving exceptional performance status.
  • Develop yearly budget while tracking monthly revenue and expenses.
  • Manage and supervise renovation projects.
  • Lead financial analysis, credentialing, operations, and systems analysis.
  • Improve insurance collection rates and success with appeals and policy management review.
  • Manage and negotiate all third-party payer contracts and reimbursements.
  • Enhance operational efficiencies for cost containment and resource utilization.
  • Monitor financials including budgeting, reconciliation of expenditures, and analysis of financial data.
  • Develop and implement practice business plans and performance measurements.
  • Manage Electronic Medical Records and Practice Management systems and technology infrastructure.
  • Credential providers with federal and commercial payers.
  • Develop systems for follow-up and recovery for insurance and patient collections.
  • Develop human resources function including recruitment, development, and performance evaluations of staff.
  • Develop a marketing plan and budget to increase patient referrals.
  • Lead strategic planning, advertising, market research, and program development.
  • Produce promotional literature including idea generation, copywriting, layout, and printing.
  • Hire, train, and supervise administrative staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in leading process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in project management, overseeing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in healthcare operations management.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance in healthcare settings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
