About the position

The Director of Business Systems Analysis for Financial Reporting & Data Management at Everest Global Services, Inc. is a leadership role responsible for managing a team of Business System Analysts. This position focuses on financial data initiatives and business intelligence solutions, playing a crucial role in the company's data transformation journey. The director will work closely with various functional areas within the Reinsurance, Insurance, and Corporate business units, ensuring that the team's objectives align with business needs and stakeholder relationships are effectively managed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead liaison between the client area, technical organization, and other affected areas in planning, directing, and supporting the analysis of complex business problems.
  • Work closely with business partners to understand the business needs and challenges and support the development of project proposals.
  • Manage and provide leadership to a team of Business Analysts on the proper elicitation techniques to ensure requirements are appropriately and efficiently identified, analyzed, and documented using industry standard analysis techniques.
  • Accountable for providing project leadership including facilitating requirements gathering and presenting findings to all levels of management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to help verify that the solution/technology is meeting business requirements.
  • Proactively manages and prioritizes the product backlog, release plans, and sprint backlogs according to business value, complexity, and expectations. Ensure business needs are conveyed to the Scrum team.
  • Conforms to Company standards and practices to comply with Internal Audit and SOX controls.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and progressive experience.
  • 10+ Years Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst Experience.
  • 5+ Years managing staff both onshore and offshore.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
  • Strong critical thinking & problem-solving competency with the ability to research complex data-oriented problems.
  • Experience working with financial data systems that interface with the General Ledger, familiar with month-end processing.
  • Proactive and results driven with a positive can-do attitude.
  • Excels in a team environment (distributed).

Nice-to-haves

  • Agile Product Owner
  • Strong SQL skills
  • Commercial Insurance and Financial principles preferred
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Visio
  • Technical experience with BI Tools and/or the MS BI Stack a plus
  • Exposure to APIs and understanding of XML and JSON language nice to have.
