About the position

The Director of Campaign Strategy at Lumen is responsible for leading the marketing efforts to develop and execute innovative campaign strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and sales impact. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic vision, and leadership capabilities to guide a team of marketing professionals in delivering impactful campaigns across multiple channels. The position involves collaboration with segment and product marketing leaders to align on priorities and commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive campaign strategies that align with the organization's goals and target audience.
  • Lead and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns, ensuring a cohesive brand message.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management and making data-driven recommendations for optimization.
  • Manage campaign budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently to maximize ROI across all marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and optimize paid media strategies across platforms to maximize reach and ROI.
  • Lead the strategy and execution of email marketing campaigns, ensuring targeted messaging and segmentation to enhance engagement and conversion rates.
  • Work closely with product marketing, content and creative, campaign captains and orchestration to create a strategy that aligns to our joint priorities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance campaign effectiveness.
  • Present campaign strategies and performance updates to stakeholders, gathering feedback and adjusting strategies as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role focused on campaign strategy.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across various channels, particularly in paid media and email marketing.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, including CRM systems, analytics software, and project management tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Comfort speaking to executives.
