About the position

The Director of Capital Programs at Healthy Neighborhoods Inc (HNI) is responsible for overseeing the capital investment strategy and programming, including the management of the rehabilitation mortgage loan pool and the expansion of HNI's green capital program. This leadership role involves strategic direction, stakeholder relationship management, and the execution of various grant-funded projects aimed at supporting low- and moderate-income communities in Baltimore City.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight over all HNI capital programs.
• Direct operations of the HNI rehabilitation mortgage loan program in collaboration with M&T Bank and other lenders.
• Lead day-to-day program operations including applicant intake, project feasibility reviews, and loan servicing.
• Support the development and implementation of HNI's Green Capital strategy.
• Engage with community groups for training and outreach efforts.
• Manage grant-funded home improvement projects and respond to inquiries regarding HNI loans.

Requirements

• Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in lending, finance, or related fields.
• Project management experience and skills.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Ability to manage overlapping timelines and coordinate among multiple collaborators.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in community development financial institutions.
• Knowledge of Baltimore City neighborhoods.
• Certification as a Notary Public or willingness to obtain.
