About the position

The Director of Centralized Intake at The Jewish Board is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of a new Centralized Intake, Assignment, and Discharge Team. This position ensures that clients have quick and efficient access to care, facilitating smooth transitions through the clinic and CCBHC systems. The Director will optimize intake processes, manage client assignments, and oversee the discharge of inactive clients, all while collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Operationalize the Central Intake, Assignment and Discharge Team.
  • Devise ways to optimize intake, assignment/re-assignment and discharge processes.
  • Collaborate with Clinics, CCBHCs, and One Call to ensure a streamlined intake process for all clients seeking services.
  • Create and implement a robust tracking system for monitoring client statuses.
  • Manage client movement through the system to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Monitor clinic capacity and address potential bottlenecks in access to care.
  • Review staff turnover trends and their impact on intake processes.
  • Monitor therapist and provider caseloads and manage inactive cases.
  • Oversee the Utilization Review process and ensure timely discharge summaries.
  • Prepare Key Progress Indicator reports for CCBHC reporting.
  • Collaborate with program leadership on quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure timely resolution of client complaints.
  • Evaluate staff performance and ensure appropriate staffing levels.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in human services or business (preferred)
  • New York State clinical licensure in social work (LCSW) (preferred)
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in an operational leadership role in a clinical setting
  • Experience with electronic medical records and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Extensive operational experience with tracking systems
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Experience managing leaders/supervisors and staff

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in the healthcare field
  • Knowledge of key performance indicators and data reports
