About the position

The Director of Child Care Operations at MetroWest YMCA is a leadership role focused on overseeing Early Learning and Out-of-School Time (OST) programs. This position involves direct support and supervision of program directors, ensuring high-quality services and staff development. The role includes key administrative functions such as budget management, strategic planning, and community relationship building, all aimed at fostering a sense of belonging and achievement among program participants.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support and supervision to the OST Director and Director of Early Learning.
  • Hire, develop, and retain high-quality staff for the programs.
  • Ensure programs and services meet high-quality standards.
  • Assist in budget development and management.
  • Participate in annual campaign fundraising and strategic planning.
  • Build and maintain community relationships.
  • Utilize critical thinking and decision-making skills in operations management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • EEC Director II certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a similar role.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience as an administrator of an EEC licensed and NAEYC accredited Early Learning Center.
