About the position

The Director of Client Services for US Fund Administration will be responsible for managing client relationships, including onboarding new clients, reviewing fund documents, fund setup, and renewals of existing client engagements. The role requires a deep understanding of clients' businesses to identify opportunities for additional fund services and cross-selling of other CSC products. The Director will also review accounting records, financial statements, and support schedules, including waterfall calculations (GAAP & OCBOA), as well as SBA compliance reporting and capital call & distribution calculations. The position involves ensuring best practices are used by the client service team, staffing/resource allocation, career development and talent management of team members, and managing special projects as required. Extensive on-the-job training will be provided, along with internal responsibilities such as status reports and time tracking.

Responsibilities

  • Manage client relationships including onboarding new clients, review of fund documents, fund set up, and renewals of existing client engagements
  • Understand clients' business to identify opportunities for additional fund services and cross selling of other CSC products
  • Review accounting records, financial statements, and support schedules, including waterfall calculations (GAAP & OCBOA)
  • Review SBA compliance reporting, including SBA Form 468
  • Review capital call & distribution calculations and letters
  • Assist as needed with internal teams with all client deliverables
  • Ensure that best practices are used by client service team and look for process improvements
  • Staffing/resource allocation for client service team
  • Career development and talent management of team members
  • Manage special projects as required
  • Extensive on the job training
  • Internal responsibilities (status reports, time tracking, etc.)

Requirements

  • BS Degree in Accounting-CPA or CPA candidate preferred
  • 12+ years' experience in Private Equity portfolio/investment and partnership accounting
  • 7+ years of supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Thorough understanding of key terms of fund documents
  • Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IF, XIRR, SUBTOTAL, ROUND, named ranges)
  • Private equity accounting software experience a plus
  • Able to multitask and perform tasks under strict deadlines
  • Experience delegating, training, and supervising multiple staff
  • Experience managing multiple client relationships
  • Strong professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
